History of the Loyal Order of Squirrels
The Loyal Order of Squirrels was founded in 1984 by 13 individuals who were dedicated to serving those in need within St. Charles County.
Their goal was to have a not-for-profit organization whose funds stayed within their county. All the funds raised would be used for the betterment of those in need.
Since 1984, membership has grown to over 150 strong and their dedication to the needs of St. Charles County has grown as well.
The organization is proud of the fact that it is the most diverse group in the county. Members include representatives from all occupations and from young adults to senior citizens, all working together for the common goal.
While the Loyal Order of Squirrels works very closely with many local organizations, they pride themselves in assisting individuals who, for many reasons, have been unable to get assistance elsewhere. This assistance includes providing the handicapped assistance in their homes, assisting with computer needs of the disabled, doing home repair for the elderly or disabled, and providing food and clothing to those in need.
